Getting started

What is a traffic exchange?

A traffic exchange lets members promote their websites by viewing other members' pages. You earn credits while surfing and assign those credits to your own website to receive views.

How do I get started?

Create an account, follow the verification instructions, and log in. Add your website in My Sites, check its status, then use Surf to earn credits and assign them to your site.

What are credits and how do I earn them?

Credits are the advertising units used for website views. Earn them by completing valid views in the surf area. The amount earned per view depends on your membership's surf ratio. One assigned website credit provides one hit.

Is a paid membership required?

Check the signup and membership pages for current options. Compare the listed surf ratio, viewing timer, advertising limits, and any included bonuses before choosing a plan.

Advertising basics

What kind of page works best?

A fast-loading landing page with a clear headline, one main benefit, and a simple call to action is a good starting point. Make sure the page works inside the exchange viewer and complies with the site's terms.

Are website credits, banner impressions, and text impressions the same?

No. Website credits fund views of your website. Banner impressions fund displays of a banner image, and text impressions fund displays of a text ad. An impression is a display, not a guaranteed click.

Will traffic exchange views guarantee sales or signups?

No. Views do not guarantee interest, leads, or purchases. Results depend on your offer, page quality, and audience fit. Track meaningful actions rather than relying only on hit totals.

Can I promote any website?

Read the Terms & Conditions (opens in a new tab) before submitting a page. Also check whether your destination site's advertising or affiliate rules allow traffic-exchange traffic.

Why might my analytics show fewer visits?

Exchange hit counters and analytics may measure activity differently. Short visits, blocked scripts, browser privacy settings, and analytics filters can all affect reported totals.
